Jurassic World

I haven't seen any good dinosaur shows/movies since the JPs.. Went to see the first one in a cinema last year (i think...was it 20th anniversary?) and it still looks great...The CG stuff is so good still...the render quality might show its age a bit but the animation is still really superb. ..as are the animatronics of course...goes without saying.

I want to see dinosaurs and not particularly another monster chase movie... and... seriously don't hope they plan on introducing genetically engineered, stupid but clever humanoid dinosaur assassins/bounty hunters. YUCK!

:thumbsup I personally feel that CG has gone downhill since the original JP.

I didn't mind the lost world, but JP3 just felt like a gigantic money grab to me. I've always wanted to see this happen, but I don't know......what else can they even do? I guess we'll see.

I found it very revealing that there is a quote from Kathleen Kennedy in one of those articles that basically says "why do we feel the need to make another?"

Couple this with her recent involvement in Star Wars...

:cry

We need to pump these up a little - the T-rex was cool in the first two then they dethroned him in p3 with that ugly dino - i say take this one to the limit with mecha-T-rex - also, lets start setting things up to where we learn the island is actually the same place that years from now King Kong is found.

My thoughts exactly. I hated the new Dino in JP3 with the stupid fin on it's back.

I would prefer Steven Speilberg to direct JP4 instead of Johnston but Johnston did do a good job with Captain America so I guess he has improved since JP3.

Huh? CA was the most meh Marvel movie I've seen in a long time. Hell... I like Fantastic Four better than that piece. It just felt so formulaic and rather pointless.

And those who say there's nothing more to do with the JP franchise honestly don't realize that there are plenty of things to do and tell. It just seems that everything is pointing towards making monster movies instead of movies about dinosaurs surviving in our world. There is so much untapped stuff there - stuff that was touched on in the original novel, but was largely ignored in the subsequent movies. I want to see dinosaurs as living, breathing animals - as they set out to show us in JP1 - not borderline supernatural monsters that chase after people for no real reason and can smash through metal fences like they were nothing.

I think they should just re-hash 'The Expendables 2' and slap a JP4 logo on it.... it would save money and dissapointment to JP fans.
I'd like to see a simplistic realist approach, maybe about an eccentric loner who's managed to gene splice himself a dinosour in his own back yard, bonds and builds a relationship with it, then the government finds out and it all ****s up from then on.

So....major tentpole CG heavy movie (you know it to be true), no announced director (but the only name floated so far being a middle-of-the-road workman, who has demonstrated no inclination to take any chances that would make his work interesting), no announced cast, as far as anyone can tell no script, release date 1 year and counting. What could POSSIBLY go wrong with this scenario! You're absolutely DREAMING if you think any of that stuff is what you're getting, TMG. This is going to be a cluster fudge of a movie.

Well the Spinosaurus is an intimidating looking animal with its size and the sail on its back, and if they actaully went with having the dinosaurs act like animals, and not monsters, JP3 could have been better, but Joe screwed that one up...

I would love to see Spielberg take the helm again and direct the new one
