So excited! Got my steel book today, Vicki and I and the kids have bought in popcorn, beers and burgers. A proper event. Just watched the special features. Very good.
Now I'm about the hit PLAY on the main event. It's a very special day for me.

Enjoy!
Got my copy a few days ago but, unfortunately, haven't had time to watch it properly.
The transfer is simply amazing. Can't wait to see the same treatment for Raiders in a couple weeks.![]()
Just finished watching. One word. AWESOME.
Or should that be 'Jawsome'?
Yeah, I got this one a few weeks ago when it came out. Great transfer, great extras, great disc, period. If you're a fan, buy it. Buy now. And be happy.
I got it last week but so far have only watched The Shark Is Still Working.
Picked up the Best Buy digibook but I still hope that they release a nice big box set. Popped it in with the wife and kid and was amazed at the picture quality. It was like watching it for the first time.
My wife jumped at the Ben Gardner head scene.
Here's where my Blu Ray proudly sits.

Got my Blu-ray copy in a little over a week ago, and I've already watched it three times since then. It's definitely one of the best transfers I've ever seen, audio and video is amazing, absolutely awesome.
Or, as the STREET SHARKS used to say so many years ago...

The restored transfer looks amazing and the new 7.1 mix sounds fantastic (fintastic) too.
Hard to believe that this film is just a few years away from it's 40th anniversary.
Universal really have done a great job with this, I almost forgive them for closing down 'The Jaws ride' in Orlando. Almost. Still...too painful...
Seriously, if anyone is on the fence about snagging this on blu, don't be. It's excellent.
Gotta pick this up on Blu soon.
I was lucky enough to see it on the big screen two weeks ago and it looked amazing. Last time I saw it in the theater was 37 years ago when I was seven.
I have to say the audience was loving every minute of it and really getting into it. I rarely see people enjoying a movie like that anymore. Awesome stuff (or Jawsome).![]()
Agreed. The transfer looks gorgeous.
Anyone have the opportunity to see the digitally restored theatrical version this summer that preceded the BluRay release?
We have a screening at work tonight, it'll be amazing.
Watched it yesterday and was completely awed by the pq and 7.1 DTS-HD MA sound! Watched it with my 17 year old son who was utterly transfixed!
I'm not kidding, when Quint was sliding towards the shark my feet were doing a little fear dance!!!! What made Jaws a phenomenon is still there, in chum-bucket-loads!
.....and not a single CG change in sight, comments Mr. Lucas?
Rich
Clerval: How was the screening at work? Appreciation? Admiration?
The folks in the DLP theatre in July were too young to remember seeing it theatres, but seemed to really enjoy this timeless character-driven tale...
How about that story Spielberg tells about them chopping up the Orca. AAAAAGGH!!!!
