    May 31, 2012 - Iron Man Armored Adventures? Say what?? #1

    Has anyone been watching this? I've only caught a couple of episodes but I'm finding myself going WTF? Tony is Iron Man in high school? He, Rhodey, and Pepper are all like 16 years old? How was this explained, or for that matter, WAS it explained?

    I just can't seem wrap my head around this show. I read Iron Man ever since the 60s up to about 1995. Nowhere, no time, was he ever some genius high school student with the armor. Was it all rebooted into this crap in the comics?..........show sucks...

    It's a giant reboot of the franchise aimed at kids, just like that lame Speedracer sequel Nicktoons had going on. I think they both got canceled and now they're doing the Tron show.

    Ultimate Spider-Man is worse. And he talks to the camera. And he works for Nick Fury and some other superhero apprentices. It's kind of Teen Titans style but stupider. [Avengers Junior?]

    J.K. Simmons voices J. Jonah Jameson though. And the high school janitor looks like and is voiced by Stan Lee.

    Yeah i saw a commercial and was like "it's a 3rd rate Teen Titans ripoff". Remember the good Ultimate Spiderman show from the 90s/2000's? that was good. I agree JK and Stan are the only good thing about it.

    This show is why marvel should stay out of animation and leave it to DC.

    So the story of him in high school is Stark is captured by the wrestling team who wants him to build them the "Jericho" unitard, and he instead builds the first Iron Man armor and escapes the locker room where he's been held?

    I don't remember it, but Wikipedia has;

    Spider-Man Unlimited - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    "Believed to be dead after saving a person's life in a fire, Peter Parker uses the ruse to embark on a mission to retrieve John Jameson on Counter-Earth, using nanotechnology borrowed from Reed Richards to design a new suit that incorporates stealth technology and sonic weaponry."

    Sounds interesting.

    I remember;
    The Spectacular Spider-Man - 2008 animated series

    This television series was an amalgamation of the first few years of The Amazing Spider-Man and Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man. Peter Parker is a teenager living in contemporary New York, as in Bendis' Ultimate version, but he dates his best friend Gwen Stacy, as in the original The Amazing Spider-Man comics, and Mary Jane Watson is "just a friend".
    Many of Peter's original supporting cast, including Flash Thompson, have been translated into modern terms. Noteworthy is the fact that at least some of Parker's former supporting cast members are people of color. Liz Allen is Latina and Ned Lee (formerly "Leeds") is Korean.
    Though successful, the series ended when the copyright for Spider-Man adaptations switched from Sony back to Marvel. Spider-Man was voiced by Josh Keaton.

    Too bad the change of rights canceled it.

    It was pretty good. There's the high evolutionary and his animal creatures and a version of Machine Man too. Even a version of the Buzzard on that alternate Earth.

    Seems to me that back in the 90's at some point, the regular comic did do something like this. This would be back around the end of Iron Man comics, "Vol.1". I stopped reading in the late '80s, but what came in the end (from what I had thumbed through on occasion) was some pretty atrocious crap, so far removed from what I thought of as a readable comic book it made me sick. It actually made me long for the days of my first issue I ever read (Raga, Son of Fire)!

    Oh God, you are correct sir!!! I caught an episode of that Spider-man crap the other day. I couldn't even make it through the entire show....Absolutely AWFUL!!!!!!!!! I would rather watch the old 70's live action show than this...Even Spidey on The Electric Company was better than this. There has NEVER been an incarnation of Spider-man worse that this garbage!!! Horrible!!! I just cannot even put into words how amazingly terrible this show is.

    Iron man iron adventures is actually a good show ( or at least the first season was). It didn't get cancelled :/. The first 2 episodes were kind of slow and boring, but everything after that was interesting and cool. It starts with tony inventing something that he wants to show to his dad, but then they have to get on a plane, so tiny doesn't get to show him. Their plane gets blown up, and tony is barely alive but he manages to open up a box thing, get in his iron man armor and set it on autopilot for his house. Then stuf happens and he becomes a superhero

    I just read Spider-MEN and it has that premise of Spider-Man Unlimited. Peter Parker is sucked into a different time line and meets the Hispanic Spider-Man.
