My wife and I got to meet our own Adam Savage AND Jamie Hyneman tonight in Beverly Hills. It was a surprisingly intimate event. There was a reception after the screening and Adam and Jamie were both super cool and took the time to sign autographs, take pictures and just chat about whatever. Adam even showed me some prop stuff he's got in the works on his iPhone. Thanks, Adam. It was a blast!
Ah - and you even have on your Vista Vision shirt - looks like everything went perfect.
I think that's the first time I've ever seen Jamie out of his normal outfits other than when busting a myth lol.
There are very few stars I would like to meet, but Adam would be one of them!

I guess you're right. I'm just so used to the white shirt that the outfit looks totally different without it.
Awesome, I would love to meet those guys, would love to work with them even more. Imagine all that you could learn from a duo like that.
I've been a big fan of Mythbusters since the first season so this really was a huge treat. Again, I was really shocked by how accessible Adam and Jamie were. The Paley Center does events like this all the time with various media personalities and from what I was told, they are NEVER this casual, which really says a lot about these guys. My wife, who is a new kindergarten teacher, got to talk to Jamie for a while about the importance of "playing" with science and his own evolution from a working Hollywood FX man to an educator or sorts and how rewarding that's been. Heck, I even got to ask Adam what happened to my scratch-built light sabers that I sold him on this board 4 years ago. He still has them along with his 40 other light sabers on display at the workshop. Needless to say, I was pretty stoked.
