As long as it's just a cameo, that's fine with me. It makes sense for him to be there, after all.

Legolas was the son of Thranduil, who is the "Elvenking" of Mirkwood in the Hobbit. Why SHOULDN'T Legolas be at his father's court?
Better to be "more of" in the second "bridge" movie if you ask me.
I haven't been this excited about a movie hitting theaters since The Dark Knight. It's so hard to get excited for movies anymore. I know Peter Jackson will bring greatness back to the screen once again. I can't wait for the trailer.
I'm looking forward to seeing Legolas again. It's one character that Bloom plays that does not annoy me.

From what I've heard, he's going to be the narrator of the movie. He'll be reading from the Red Book in Rivendell, and the story will open from that.BrotherWilliam said:

Yeah Gandalf looks just as good as he did years ago. Doesn't look like he's changed one bit and neither does the look and feel of the character. The other pics have a, perhaps too clean digital look on them. I'm sure none of these are actual shots from the film and probably general PR imagery.
Loving what I see overall so far! So glad Peter Jackson is attached to these. I'm sure they'll be seamless and I doubt he's lost his marbles and going on some PT rampage decision making like some other old guy did to connect to his older films some time ago.

December 14th 2012 seems extremely far out -but the way time passes it will be here before I know it. And from everything I've heard, it will be done right and well worth the wait.
