"Heckler" is a documentary currently on Netflix instant.
It starts off talking about people who heckle comedians and other public speakers, but quickly changes to how movie critics and the Internet in general have gotten out of control with the constant hating.
It's worth watching just to see Uwe Boll in a boxing ring with 4 movie critics.

I was just talking to my friend about this subject last night. She's a big gamer and people are already putting down games that aren't 8 months from being done just from a few descriptions and photos. It's a good way to see how the internet's made us less civil. Movie critics have always been this bad though.

An obvious statement would be that the shield of anonymity the internet provides let people be as rude as much as it amuses them. I really don't understand the kick some seem to get when a negative remark results in a more negative retort, and then it escalates from there.
After reading a number of infuriating remarks on various sites that permit comments, I had once remarked to a friend that maybe internet use should be liscenced like driving a car in some fashion. One has to be of legal age and trained how to properly use the interenet. Pipe dream, I know. I guess some people equate bad behavior with a feeling of superior intelligence, which is just the opposite.

It's still not as bad as the Prequels.

Nothing is perfect, so if you are on a mission to find something wrong, and then ridicule it, you always will be able to.
Not everyone should or will like everything, but being on a constant search and destroy mode doesn't somehow equate to a higher level of taste or sophistication. They are probably just keeping themselves from enjoying what could otherwise be an entertaining experience.
I hate it when people insult a movie before they are even finished making it, much less seen it.

Watched it a couple of months back. Pretty good stuff, although I couldn't help but feel it was primarily made to make Jamie Kennedy feel better about himself.
