I have yet to see Zero Dark Thirty, but I like Chris Pratt from Parks and Rec and his few smaller roles prior to that, he seems to be a good fit.

Chris Pratt can play funny AND heroic. Despite his usually "chubby" appearance he leaned up and pack on some serious muscle for ZDT
Maybe I'm just too old school but a GOTG without any reference to the original line-up/founding members is a bit of a disappointment.

I can live with this cast. I found the bit about casting murmurs for thanos a little odd. If he indeed is the villian in this one, wouldn't it be in Marvels best interest to use the same actor, as the Avengers for continuity sake. I never heard who played him in that one anyway.

Thanos was seen all of two seconds in The Avengers. Never said a word. As if anyone would notice that the actor (if it wasn't CGI) is a different one than the one that will be in Guardians.MaddMaxx82 said:
It was CGI. I was being sarcastic, the article I was refering to, almost wrote off the fact that the cgi characters still needed casting. As if its not acting doing voice work.

he does have a Drax look to him. as far as acting, thankfully Drax is fairly 1 dimensional so it might not matter
