The mural's artist apparently thought "K9 and Company" was the title of the entirety of DW.![]()
Well, keep in mind the original idea is that a 50" tv is going to live right in the middle of the mural. So K-9 and nearly all of Starry Night will be obscured.
The other thing is the mural represents our (and specifically my 3yr old daughter's) favorite parts of Doctor Who. Hence, the VOC robot and K-9 and Leela - all things she loves. and #4 and #10 are "our" Doctors.
Today on Teefury you can get both of these:

Saw this at lunch and I don't have the link anymore, but it said Colin Baker was asked about plans for an anniversary episode featuring all the doctor's and he said while it's a great idea he's heard nothing from anyone about anything anniversary related.
Now, that's not very good if true if he's not been contacted about anything, but on the flip side, it could be that they've been told to dismiss the idea so it's more of a surprise.
You would think if they were planning something even close to that, that they'd have contacted all involved at this point wouldn't you?
Well, the other Baker is definitely in. Tennant is definitely in. It's clear something big is brewing but no one has come out and said "all 11" or "all living doctors".
They kept the Asylum reveal and the Snowmen reveal completely secret. That thrills me. In this day and age to do that once is amazing. Twice in a few months, amazingly amazing.
Whatever the secret is to secrecy, Moffat seems to have imparted it to his team.
I'll give them that. They're better than most at keeping a fairly tight lid.
I do hope to see something with all the living Doctors but I doubt it'll happen.
My hunch right now is that 4, 5, 8, 10, and 11 are a LOCK.
and to give a little #3 love, this was released last week:

Yeah, pretty much worth it for the Brig. Gel Guard??? Really? I'm psyched because last week I scored two VOCS for my daughter and Greel/Mr. Sin for me.
This is out of the scale I collect and a bit out of my price range but damn, I am tempted to see if I can score a signed one of these tomorrow.
Site was unresponsive for 25+ minutes but amazingly, I snagged one of the 250 signed editions. I waffled on the "Place Order" button for a while but in the end the light up base is what sold me on it.

What were they going for? Link doesn't show them now, just asking for an email to be notified of availability. I did see the site offered an 11 for 150 pounds.
I will eat yesterdays socks if Sylvester McCoy isn't involved
The Ex Vat price on the signature edition was 153 pounds (about $250usd). The regular ltd. edition is a little less. Those are still available. I think the sigs sold out in the first 30min.
they're only taking deposits now anyway. My deposit came out to be approx. $40USD.
Figure even if I have buyer's remorse I can flip it.
Here's Wired's article on the 50th anniversary special featuring the return of ALL the Doctors. I must say, if the rumors are true, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Tennant back in the role.

Sean
Somehow I seriously doubt it... But it would be cool!
Replacing Hartnell in The 5 Doctors wasn't a big deal but for me they had better tread lightly with Troughton & Pertwee...
Damn, that gave me goosebumps!
I just hope it's a rather LONG episode, 3 hours min. Hard to work in all 11 in much less. The five, err, four doctors clocking in a 90 minutes for 4 guys was about right IMO. I still hope it's something along a 10-11 part episode arc. I doubt it, but you can dream![]()
Considering how far "Gump Tech" software has become (think Golum from LoTR) they should be able to CGI model the dearly departed previous Doctors as well as lend a helping hand to those who no longer resemble their characters. The trick will be properly casting the live body doubles. I say Sean Pertwee is over due to fill his father's shoes.
Speaking of...I've been keeping a secret hope that if there is a final incarnation the younger Pertwee is cast in the role.
