That kid playing Joffrey is going to have the worst time getting jobs after this gig. Everyone hates the little twerp so much that they're going to have a hard time seperating the character and the actor. I know I would want to punch the kid in the nose if I saw him.

i was thinking about that kid as well. At his age, this role must be doing screwy things with his psychological development.

also with regards to the way this episode ended... WTF. lol

I enjoyed last night's episode for the most part. I thought Arya and Tyrion's scenes were really great. I'm kind of sad with what they're doing with Dany, though. I like that they're able to separate from the books and still tell a great story, but I'm just not sure why they're changing Dany's story so much. I hope they're able to make it work.

I was sorry to see that they replaced the actor who played the Mountain, but since it's not a big role (so to speak) hopefully it'll work out.
Yeah, this new actor is tall, but he's not as scary as the actor who played him in S1. Wonder why the change.

And from the looks of things, I'm guessing that they're going to omit the capturing of Storm's End (since that's where the Davos/Melisandre scene originally happened.)
They've just had to condense so much, but it isn't surprising considering they've got to fit it into a 10 hour season. There's some stuff I'm missing, too, but I think the stuff they're leaving out and condensing makes total sense.

What about the shadow baby, though? I though that was so great. I knew what was going to happen and my jaw still hit the floor. So awesome!

Melisandre actually addressed this in the novels. Shadows only exist in the presence of the light.

A couple questions, did Rob Stark's army really have a bunch of wolves or was it only his wolf? I couldn't tell if maybe his direwolf could get other wolves to help or if it was an exaggeration since the guy reported the dead were eaten by his army. Also was Arya saying those names because she's trying to remember who to kill?

I think Greywind is alone, though at least one of his siblings takes over a pack of garden variety wolves.

Yeah, she picked that up from Yoren, the member of the Night Watch who was leading them north. He remembered the guy who killed his brother, so Arya is remembering everyone who's crossed her, her family and friends. The list gets pretty long.

They included that line in last night's episode, too. She said it as she and Davos made their way into Storm's End.

I can't believe the season is already almost half over. I hope we're going to see the House of the Undying.

They actually start referring to Robb's forces in general as Wolves and him as The Young Wolf.

For those who don't recognise the statue on the left, it's a young Emperor Caligula.

So he'll get at least one more role if they ever do a remake...

I've talked it over with all my friends and even my physio, the kid who plays Joffrey does such a good job, he's gonna be hated for the rest of his career. Everyone I know said if they met him in person, they'd want to punch him in the face because he's such an evil little psycho.

Still love the show but i think they are taking far too many liberties with the story it could easily lose its way. i hope not and i wish i they had made it a longer series rather than cramming it all into 10 episodes.

According to an interview with George, the actor is the nicest guy in person, but people spit on him as he walks down the street. He's just that good at playing evil.

Not surprising, I've noticed that actors who do a really good job at playing really evil villains and heavies on TV and in movies tend to be some of the nicest people you can meet while conversely, more than a few actors who are known for playing the good guy tend to be real jerks in person. Go figure.

Yeah that's pretty stupid that people can't disassociate someone with their character. I remember reading that Tricia Helfer (BSG) said that some people acted like they were scared of her like she could really snap their necks.

Happens all the time people become so linked to their characters for better or worse. It's always been that way for some reason. I just saw previews of a Game of Thrones RPG for game systems that looks interesting and apparently scans the actors for their likenesses.

Just listened to all the commentary tracks for Season 1. George W. Bush is in Game of Thrones. Just thought you'd like to know.

Another great episode. The only downside is that the Reed siblings apparently got cut out. So did the Walders, but they really didn't add anything to the story anyway.

I had to watch Arya's scene with Tywin a couple of times. The look she gave him at the end was the definition of "chilling."

One thing that puzzled me about last week's episode - Littlefinger's spy network must have been really good for him to know Catelyn was going to Renly's camp. He had to have known, else he wouldn't have brought Eddard's bones with him.

Great episode. I continue to enjoy Tyrion's character. Peter Dinklage is truly doing a fantastic job. I agree that Walder Freys are not necessary but the Reeds still may show up.

They may, but it was Jojen Reed that dreamed of Winterfell being flooded by the ocean, rather than Bran.
