Futurama Season 7 (Final Season)

Zoidberg may just be the unfunniest character ever created

Them's fightin words! Zoidberg is awesome! Some of my favorite Futureama moments involve Zoidberg.

Leela: Ability to command the loyalty of sea creatures?
Fry: Hey Zoidberg! Get in here!
Zoidberg: Screw you!

-- or --

General: What is your purpose here?
Zoidberg: All right officer, I'll move along...
Soldier: What the General means is why did you come to earth?
Zoidberg: Not a day goes by that I don't ask myself the same question.

-- or --

Hermes: Come on! Baby needs a new pair of shoes!
Zoidberg: To hell with your spoiled baby! I need those shoes!

-- or --

Zoidberg: Finally, I have a good claw! See? Three human females, a number, and a king giving himself brain surgery!

-- and who could forget.... --

Zoidberg: Once again, the conservative, sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!

Damn...that's so cool hankey :thumbsup. Did you get any customized voices recorded :D. Of course they are always busy at the con panels and signings, but would be neat if they agreed to do so. Even if it's just Bender voice calling your name and making a smart-ass comment :).

John Dimaggio was great with the fans..LOTS of voices and zaniness!! Billy was more reserved but very kind. I had to sneak back into the line to meet John (he let us because he recognized us from the line beforehand when he left for a break). He high fived my son and was very cool. Billy West did his Honey Nut Cheerios Bee voice for me (I approached him with that to be unique..but kind of wished I had asked him to sing 'Walking on Sunshine' for me in Fry's voice. Or some Stimpy. Great guys! A highlight of the con (wasted the rest of the day waiting in 4 lines to meet Stan Lee for 5 seconds).

Yeah that's the one I mentioned earlier "The Late Philip J. Fry", it's one my favourites from season 6.

Tonight's episodes were quite good, the second episode was indeed better than the first one.

SPOILERS

Gotta say, whatever bizarre stunt Futurama pulls off I am always on-board. But when it meddles with human anatomy, it makes me cringe and makes me lose my suspension of disbelief. (Crazy I know :lol). It started when Fry lost his hands (or was it his whole arm? probably much before the incident with the Robot Devil) during the early seasons. What can I say, besides being a comedy Futurama has always been a great science fiction show for me, so those things used to bother me. It still does, but I am getting used to it now.

Yeah this bugged me too, but not as much as when they go overboard with the future technology and whats possible.

Tech advances fine, it is the year 300 after all, but stuff like spray on bikinis, and tents in pill form etc really throw me out for a second or two. Its just daft for the skae of daft.

Those things always strike me as a throwback to the 50s "future" vision of the world and the 30s serial scifi like flash gordon (look at some of the vehicles and military gear). What I love is at times their tech is stuff Fry had in the 20th century like that vhs cassette for robot sex ed :lol. On a side note there was some really sad moments in the episodes last night. Anyone else find it odd that at the start of the comedy central run fry and leela were in love and now they're back to being awkward?

Disappointed, but, to be honest, I didn't think the CC episodes were as good as the classic episodes. Sure, it's still better than nothing and they were still watchable, but far too often they tried to be 'edgey' instead of 'good'.

I was so excited when they brought it back, I always thought Futurama was easily the best cartoon out there but when they did it REALLY lacked in the writing department and was just "Meh" though it was nice to see it again, I'll miss Zapp and Bender the most.

Hopefully they'll let them do a really good final episode OR do more straight to dvd movies, those seemed to do pretty well. Mind you comedy central is also the geniuses who canceled Drawn Together who had great ratings for more seasons of South Park who is up there with Simpsons on the "meh" meter.

I actually didn't enjoy any of the DVD movies (Bender's Big Score was probably the most tolerable). They felt much too long and disjointed, and it really showed how the series worked best as ~22 minute episodes.

I do agree that the CC Futurama was very meh. They all kind of felt like the original season 1 episodes, as if the writers were trying to find the right flow... yet never completely found it. It's sad that the series is going to be cancelled (again), but honestly, there weren't too many memorable new episodes. =(

Looking forward to it, but just hope they are worth it. Futurama really lost it's spark after the first or second cancellation.

It's like the writers for Comedy Central aren't trying or just aren't' good at it, i guess they couldn't get the original writers back by the feel of it. I have the dvr set for my folks since they're out of town.

This comment. This comment to the n'th degree; this is exactly how I felt. Everything from the straight-to-video onwards felt like really poor retcons. They were just louder, "edgier", and trying to be unnecessarily topical.

Maybe I'm just biased, soured by the fact that they retconned the whole Lars story arc to one of the most memorable episodes they ever had, Jurassic Bark, really watering down the episode's impact for fan service.:sick Look, now I've gone and disgusted myself!
