So I guess Wreck-It Ralph doesn't count?

I thought Wreck It Ralph and Tangled were better than this.

Tangled was pretty good too. Horse was the best part.
What about Brave ?
I might be bias right enough, being Scottish lol
But I've also just seen "saving Mr Banks" which was very good .
Lumpy throat time though.
Emma Thomson played a blinder, even though I'm not a big fan

Then there is the music. It starts out like Lion King! I'm no expert on Norweigen music, but the instrumental/ chorus music that opens the film (not the ice song) sounds almost African!
Yes, "Let It Go" is by far the best song of the movie. It is a powerful song and the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem is an amazing singer! The rest of the music is just too predictable and not Disney's best IMO.

I'm in total agreement with Agent Coulson. Both the first and second times I saw the movie I was not impressed - plot holes, un-engaging characters, vanilla musical visual displays, and just 1 good song to save all that. And then the box office figures started rolling in, and after the first month that's when I realized I'm completely out of touch with what today's kids and families enjoy. I still don't think this movie holds a candle to the Golden Age films, not even close.
I agree with what you've said. I too thought the film felt short (way too short) on character development and Tangled is better because it actually has good character development and a better story. The reason people currently call Frozen the best or whatever is because it certainly was better than the last Disney princess film which I believe was Brave. I think all this movie really has going for it is Let it Go and the beautiful animation.I've seen this movie three times in the theater, and honestly the first time I saw this with my gf we were not impressed.
Here me out before you start hating.
Visually the movie is stunning! Effects animation is top marks here, and I've gotten to see and even work with some of the best in the animation world a long time ago and in a galaxy just around the corner.
Story. Hmmmmm... Nice idea but has holes, and character development IMO was weak. Elsa was really the only interesting and deep character but we never really get to involved with what's going on inside her head. This is after all a Disney movie and things have to stay light for the most part. The trolls seemed tossed in the last minuet just because they were trolls and this was somewhere near Norway. Olaf could have been a much stronger character, especially since he is the link between the girls and their childhood.

Outside of my favorites (Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty, and Lion) I still love Tangled and don't think it was given as much credit as it should have. It was Glen Keenes last film with Disney and a very well written story with great character development and emotion. I am not ashamed to admit that I still cry watching these movies ( I know many of you teared up when Mufasa was killed or when Beast dies) , but there was never a moment in Frozen that brought a tear to my eye because I never felt that connection with any of the characters.
Did I hate this movie, not at all. Is it the best Disney film of all time? Nope, not quite. Aside from Tangled, you need to journey back to 1989 to see some amazing examples of classic animation at its best.

And the female character's signature song doesn't involve wanting something.
