I never liked the show; but c'mon, even the most hardcore of fans must know that this show is way past its prime.

I think Kiefer said a couple years back that he wanted the first hour to be movie time and the second hour to be traditional 24 real-time.
Mabey they could cut it to a half hour show. But then they'd have to call it 12.
Yep, it jumped the shark for me early into the 4th season, stopped watching and never went back to it.
I really liked 24. I'm sad to see it go. I do think they needed to get out of their creativity shell though because, as everyone has said, it got stale.
My money would go down on a movie ticket, no problem. Forget the 24 hour concept and just do a good movie.
Yep, I think it's time to end it. Like others, I used to love this show. Seasons 1-5 were all pretty solid. But after that...well, it just became boring.
I still watch it just because....but it doesn't kill me to miss it.

They should have smothered it in the cradle like so many others.
I could never get into it. 24, LOST , prison break only had so many story lines they could do.
Just got done watching Monday's episode...and there just is so much suspension of belief that one can do. Monday's episode was the breaking point with the shootout on the docks.
It's time...don't worry, in a few years, with the lack of creativity with today's writers, they will recast everyone and I suspect that Justin Beiber will be the new Jack Bauer.
If everyone listened to what Jack Bauer had to say, then the show could be called 12.Jodo said:

That is a shame. Although this is my least favorite season, there have been some really great ones, and I have enjoyed them all.
Maybe this season will end in a big way. When you don't have to have anyone survive for the next year it could mean anything goes
