All I know is when Tommy was sculpting the clay head and Joe was telling him what to do, then took his hands and just ripped the face off the sculpt... I WOULD have gone home... Not from quitting, but from assaulting another contestant. I would have hauled off and punched him right at that moment. That was complete disrespect.

I didn't watch it very closely, but from what little I saw it's a good thing Joe is gone. The guy was a total ****** and a BAD artist. I mean really, I could have done better than that paint job on the head. It really was the worst job I've seen on a costume before. And yup, I'd have popped him if I was Tommy. That little **** not only is a bad artist, that ****** hair of his .. ugh.

I finally looked at his facebook page. WTF?! Wow, what a wack job. In the legal documents he said he talked with the show shrink. Did the shrink get a degree from an online course? And where he says the winner will be a female he also says the winner was picked before they even started filming. Maybe the fix is in, but I find that hard to believe. And it also looks like Jerry actually set him up as some huge F-U to either Joe or FaceOff.

There seems to be something much more wrong with him than ADHD, I mean the guy sounds like a psychopath. Also he signed those contracts under duress? I didnt see him saying he had a gun to his head. If he really wasn't sure about the rights, he should of said no.

I'm curious if he actually said "I already have a career, give buddy another shot" or of he's just saying that to make himself out to be a good guy.

Regardless after all of this crap, I'd be utterly shocked if he got another gig in the industry.

I mean he's a total ******, possibly a few puzzle pieces short, superiority complex, etc.

I love the show despite the 'reality' dramatic editing style.

If I have to watch that time lapse 'This-is-how-we-build-the-mold-to-cast-a-facial-appliance" insert one more time, I just might scream.

There isn't 15 minutes of content in the 1 hour show.

I'm curious about how the character costumes are done. I think in the 1st season they would show the contestants meeting with costume designers, but we don't see any hint of that anymore.

I don't think the contestant(s) that did the Tim Burton-esque Cello Player from last season did the whole outfit, just the face and the cello prop, but the White werewolf (with arctic Little Red Riding hood) involved a huge amount of costume fabrication which allowed him to do a comparatively minimalist look for LRRH, and even she had her goggles and gattling gun.

I was sure the mech suit would win simply because of the sheer magnitude of fabrication involved. No costume designers involved there.
It'd be like building a full MK4 Ironman suit in a weekend (or less than a decade, if you're me).

The Dagobagh woman was pretty but IMHO a bit to derivative of Mara Jade and Aurra Sing. It was more the costume than the makeup that sold the character as a part of the SW universe.

For pete sake the Sith Sax player had a button down shirt open to the navel.

Watched this show for the first time yesterday and loved it. Apparently everyone else in my house already knew about it because one of the guys last year was from staten island but none of the decided to tell me about it. Now I have to go back and watch the first two seasons right now. Sees like one could learn a lot from this show.

I teally should move on, but two more things about Joe.
    1. Have you looked at the trailer for the movie he made, "Summer Massacre"? Pretty bad. SyFy would turn it down bad.
    2. I finally watched last weeks "Warehouse 13" that I recorded on Monday and they had a ad for FaceOff. At the end of the ad they showed all the contestants standing behind the host, but Joe was not there.

Ya post a police report about YOU on YOUR OWN facebook page? Am I seeing that correctly?

Going to his pages he has some talent but you couldn't tell that from the episode. I'm sure there was alot of editing, but he must have been pretty much a ****** in order for them to have the footage. My waife thought his parnter was an imature whiner for what he said to the judges before the dress down, but I don't blame the guy. He could have just said "I had no creative input on this work"

The one thing they couldn't edit was him clawing that sculpture. That showed no class or respect.

I'm finally watching the first episode because my husband isn't in the living room with me this evening (he has a particular dislike of Glenn and can't watch the show without getting snarkish over the way some of the critiques are delivered).

All I can say is holy crap, Joe is absolutely ridiculous. Even if I hadn't seen this thread, my expectation of him would've been set by his response to Sean Astin's kindly delivered criticism of his crap foundation challenge. Whenever someone continually brushes off negative comments as 'that's what happens when you do something truly unique', I know there's nothing worthwhile that's going to come out of that person.

Not to mention his nearly breaking down in tears from meeting Sean Astin.

Eh, that didn't bother me, to be honest. It's hardly the most bizarre reaction I've seen to meeting someone whose movies meant something to the fan as a kid. He was more controlled than some of the people I've seen going through the lines at cons.

I really don't understand how Joe made it on the show. From all he showed us on Face Off, he has no discernable talent.

Reality programs choose contestants for entertainment value as much as specified talents.
I don't know if a winner is selected from day 1 of filming but the production company has as much input and influence on competition winners as do the participants and judges.
I've read as much in the credits of these competition reality shows!

True. He wasn't hyper-ventilating and hopping up and down with excitement.

Lies. If he had really signed a contract with blank spaces he'd have the contract with blank spaces. I don't believe a thing this guy says.

He is just embarrassed by his actions and portrayal that he is trying to save face

He burned more than one bridge in the industry and he is trying to pass blame off on everyone else.

Last night was ok. But they may as well have said that the episode is based on POTC Davy Jones' crew. It really was that obvious. I am rather curious to why he would have an eye poping out of the scope.

Yeah, that telescope makeup was terrible and cartoony. I think the wench was the best and Sarah definitely deserved winning the week. I was torn on CC or the guy with 'jewels' as the inspiration being sent home. Honestly, probably should have sent them both home.

So far we have had a tie in with Star Wars and now Pirates of the Caribbean. I wasn't paying attention to the preview, so what movie will next week be?

At least we saw that Tommy can do work.

I still wish this show was more about the work than the drama.

Yeah, Joe was a total ***** and a hack and he wants to make himself out to sound like the victim.

Honestly though, how old is he? He seriously needs to be reminded to take his medication? Or that he wasn't allowed? Bull****. It's not hard for him to keep his pills in his pockets and a glass of water at his workstation. Joe is taking his medication? We'll just cut that 5 1/2 seconds of footage from the show.

Joe is a tool and a hack.
