Just caught up on Dexter and I gotta say I can't wait for the new series, particularly after watching that trailer. I think, like has been mentioned in previous posts, there is going to be major ups and downs between Dex and Deb but that kinda goes without saying. She was never going to just accept him as a killer. But, what looks good is that the usual Miami metro amnesia that generally covers his tracks isn't happening here. If anything this is dredging up all the near misses he's had up to now. And once they start figuring out the evidence they will start to see that all roads lead to Dexter. Has the potential to be awesome!
At this point since Dexter has Harrison he will just about do anything to stay free and alive imo

The trailer is leading you to think Dexter will consider offing Deb to save himself so it's safe to say that won't be what actually happens but how good would a cat and mouse thing between the two of them but all in secret be! She won't want the PD to know anything as it implicates her too but she doesn't look like she is going to just accept it and let Dex carry on. That could be some real tense tv right there. Roll on the 30th Sept!
i'm sure this may be just a dream on the show, but does masuka look to get a knife in the throat? and i'm curious as to what happens with louis, his video "i want to see dexter laying in his own ****?" makes me think he and Brian were friends or somethin else (some possible back story with the 2), as i've thought all along.
but yea not like dex can just go off people that are under investigation with out deb knowing, same with members of miami metro that he may want to get rid of to save himself.
Yeah, im sure the Masuka thing is one of Deb's dreams. The other guy is prolly someone hes been looking into and got a chance to get close to him and snapped? Or maybe day dream too. So Louis is against Dex it seems. Also looks like Dexter injects Deb's steak with something lol ahh cant wait
Watched season Seven this week. Same as every year since year two, once the whole season came out on Blu Ray-DVD.
As portrayed so far, Dexter would never intentionally harm Deb.

Great first episode, but I have a feeling this entire season is going to be one big cliffhanger.
Meh. I have mixed opinions. Interesting tension, but had a few "deus ex machina" moments that bugged me due to there EXTREME convenience for the plot. I have a feeling this season will annoy me as much as it'll entertain me.
i enjoyed it. didn't like the first scene which made it seem like it was a flash forward to the end of the series or show but turned out to be in this episode. did like the music in the background of dex and debs scenes. gave it dark eerie feel. here's hoping the writers are back on their game. i do think because of dexters predicament just like we saw in this episode he may get very careless with killing since he will be trying to force control so much.
I didn't like the flash forward either, I am almost positive they haven't had one in the first 6 seasons and it seems a bit late to introduce one now.
Just curious as to how many people started working on his run bag as soon as they showed it?
So any consensus on this? Possibly better to wait a few episodes rather than jumping in and getting frustrated again? I was very disappointed with seasons 5 and especially 6.
For now...eh...I'd hold off. you'll be able to watch it "on demand" or whathaveyou, so it's not like there's necessarily a rush to see it. I think this season could go either way, at this point. Some important things are happening, but I really don't know where they're gonna take the show and I haven't been particularly impressed with the show's writing for the past few seasons.

I think it helped that i didn't read anything on it. I saw posts about a trailer and how it picked up where the previous finale' left off, then i stopped reading. I didn't want to know.
The ending was pretty intense with her ransacking his place and finding everything. Would have been ruined if was even alluded to in the trailers.
I think they should've skipped the flash forward after the episode. It would have been much more powerful if we were left with absolutely no idea where it was going to go from where the episode ended.
Love the series and loved the start to season 7. This show has been one of my favorites for awhile now. What a great start to the season!
i'm also curious if on top of everything Deb found in Dex's apt if the ITK hand will be brought up. As of now its the first time dexter has seen it, it sure wasn't on the fridge when they got home from the church. Also wondering now if dex will be using new tools now or methods like in this episode since Deb will probably take and trash em.
