Darth Sidious or Emperor Palpatine???

So, I want to make a placque for a 1:1 mannequin that I have of Palpatine/Sidious. He's dessed in a black robe with a face that is "post Mac Windu" torched. So, he looks pretty menacing.
I want to make a placwue for it, but I don't know what to call him, Darth Sidious or Emperor palpatine? He's dressed as was seen in Return of the Jedi. And, the thing that makes this more confusing for me is that when Luke meets him for the first time, it's in the "Emperor's Throne Room"
So, is he still an Emperor, even when he envokes his Sith Powers to kill Luke?

Any help would be appreciated, as I don't want to screw up the placque with the wrong title.

I'd go with any variation on the Emperor (The Emperor, Emperor Palpatine). That's what he was known as for almost 20 years before Episode I.

Really depends on what it looks like - go with whatever he was called in the movie it most resembles

I wonder what his first name is? He kinda looks like a Chris. Chris Palpatine.

I'd go with "The Emperor."

Title-wise, he could either be known as the senior member of a not very well-known cult of 2 or be known as the Emperor of the galaxy. I know which one I'd go for.

I think that it would have been best to write his full name, and then under it: all his titles and honorifics.
However, apparently Lucasfilm has never given him an official first name. I have heard that early drafts of the scripts would have named him Cos, Dantius or Dantilus, but if Lucasfilm someday decides to give him a first name, any of those could become wrong.

Therefore, I would vote for "Emperor Palpatine".
That is all we know him as in the original trilogy. "The Emperor" is a bit too out-of-universe for me.
BTW, the name "Palpatine" was actually spoken by Tarkin in the original trilogy.

He was Sidious when he had to hide, but Palpatine as the Emperor. Hell, like others have said, run with "The Emperor".

As Qui-Gonzales said, Palpatine was never "Darth Sidious" to the Imperial public. Really, the only people who knew him by that name were Jedi and fellow Sith. Does that make a difference?

Whether he identified himself personally as "Palpatine" or "Sidious", he was still "The Emperor" either way.

Yeah just "The Emperor". Like everyone said only a handful of people knew his real identity.
