Re: Arrow - Season 2

Glad to see him getting roles, but it kinda sux that he's not playing Superman again...that would have been awesome

Re: Arrow - Season 2

This thread should probably be called simply "Arrow" seeing as how we're moving into season 3 and starting to talk about that. Who do I talk to to make that happen?

I just started watching this. I'm halfway into season 2. I've learned something very important, though...

Nothing makes you feel more out of shape than watching Arrow while eating ice cream for breakfast.

I know, right? Most especially when Ollie's on the salmon ladder. I just look down at my fat, hairy belly and sob quietly into my cinnamon rolls.

Well... that's added an Arsenal costume to the Deathstroke and Arrow costumes I already have in the works - as well as the 3-6months old size Arrow jacket I'm working on for my new son, Oliver ready for November's UK Con! Looks like Arrow is just getting better, and cross overs with Flash will only improve it further!

Apparently, Liam Neeson would play Ra's al Ghul again if asked.

Interesting article, but I'm not convinced they were actually talking about Arrow.

I think it would be awesome if he came back for the show. But then there would be a few issues they would have to consider before casting him in the role. Would people assume by having him there that this Arrow exists in the same universe as Nolan's Batman? (I think audiences are smarter than that personally, but I wouldn't really know) Would he, a big movie star, be able to commit to a 22 episode season of a tv show? (I doubt the character would be in every single episode, but quite possibly a good chunk of them, so that could be a problem).

Well if they have the whole season planned out, they could film all his scenes in a week, then just slot them all into place when they need them.

Diggle (in reference to Cupid being put with the Suicide Squad): "Apparently she's crazier than the last girl they had."

I'm paraphrasing here, but my mind immediately went to Harley Quinn, and I couldn't help but chuckle considering "crazier than Harley" is saying quite a bit.

I know right? Harley got her special brand of crazy straight from the mind of The Joker. Being crazier than her is no small feat.

Though to be honest, Cupid was very much bat-guano crazy, and the actress really sold it without going overboard into camp territory.

what i dont get is why diggle doesnt get an awesome costume, i mean roy isnt part of the team for as long and gets a suit, while diggle wears a ski mask. its just weird.

EoS: I agree. In the first couple seasons, Diggle wasn't going out in the field that often or, if he was, he was mainly on lookout duty or recon, away from the action, just calling plays to Oliver. After the first couple episodes of this season, where Oliver was stressing that he wanted Diggle safe now that he was a father, I thought we'd be seeing less of him. If anything, we've seen more of him the field, as part of the action, and his lack of a costume is really starting to stand out.

I've pondered this, too. My thoughts are, from a tactical standpoint, it would be good to a a member of your field team that can blend into a crowd if needed. Roy & Ollie can't really do that at a moments notice, but Diggle always can.
