Cinderella (Post-release)

Re: Cinderella

Bee You Tee Full! That static shot with the links on the bottom would make the perfect menu for a DVD/BluRay. I love teasers like this.

*sobs heavily over how beautiful the costuming is* UFFF the flow on Cinderella's gown as she runs down the stairs ;___; ALL OF LADY TREMAINES DRESSES!! FAIRYGOD MOTHERS GOWN!!

Re: Cinderella

The 1st trailer I'm looking at the glass slipper thinking " Waterford made one hell of high heel, hope Cinderella doesn't snap an ankle."

I was impressed with the full trailer. Looks to be a good, I'll have to take the girls to go see it.

Re: Cinderella

So I just walked into the living room to see my wife sobbing uncontrollably with headphones on, staring at her laptop. I thought a family member had died. Nope she was watching this trailer. :lol. Girls and their princess stories....

Re: Cinderella

Not watching trailers or teasers.
I heard an interview with Hayley Atwell which make it seem very promising.

I'm a straight, married guy, but I'm a sucker for this stuff and will cry on a dime if it's done right.

Re: Cinderella

Am I the only one who thinks this just looks like a visually glamorous, but utterly boring re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-retelling of Cinderella? We all know the plot, and for those who don't just had the entire film spoiled in the trailer.

This is about as high on my list to see as a colonoscopy. Me and my cold heart that wants to see Avengers & Star Wars....

Re: Cinderella

I would be happy if it isn't another revisionist deconstructed fairy tale. Many stories lend themselves to deconstruction and reinterpretation but Cinderella isn't one of them because it's probably the most commonly reimagined story out there - from Ever After to Pretty Woman.

It's about time someone told this story straight again.

I think has promise.

Taking my daughter to see this one, and I'll be damned if every time I watch something like this with her I don't get all mushy. What has that kid done to me?! :lol

Re: Cinderella

What I could never get with this story is.

If everything else turns back to normal at midnight, why do the glass slippers stay as they are?
The answer to that is obvious. If you look at the original teaser, the slippers get their energy from the life force of the butterfly that gets crystalized when it lands on the slipper. Those two butterflies died so Cinderella could live in happiness.

Re: Cinderella

It's because the fairy Godmother bought them a while back, and they never really fit her all that well, and every time she wore them, she got blisters, and she thought if she just wore them enough, they would get broken in, and be comfortable, but she really didn't have that many occasions, besides the glass dress she bought to wear the shoes with left little to the imagination, and was a bit of an embarassment, so they sat in her closet for a while. Then Cinderella came along, and she remembered she had those shoes, and thought they might fit her...so... there you go ;)
