No love? I like Aronofsky and I think he's done it again. So many subtle little things that make me go wow.

I loved it. I saw it twice already. I love how you can't pinpoint a particular genre for this movie as it'll have you laughing one moment, freaking out the next, confused later, all while enjoying amazing performances by the cast and director.
I liked it also... the ending was a little predictable, but still good![]()
Absolutely loved it. I'm a big Aronofsky fan and had been waiting for months for it to come to my city. I'll be adding a copy to my collection!
Absolutely love this film....Natalie Portman was great...She will be a tough contender for the Oscar....
Just saw it. I'd say it was absolutely amazing - if it wasn't so heavily influenced by Roman Polanski's Replulsion. Definitely has the same feel and creepiness factor.
But I did love it. I really enjoyed the ballet in it, and I usually can't stand dancing of any kind in movies. And I can't believe how much Mila Kunis is growing as an actress. I always picture her saying "MICHAELLLL" in her whiney That '70's Show voice, and it's amazing when I see her in anything else.
Man, I really wanted to like this one, but for me it missed the mark.
I expected an intense psycho-sexual thriller but what I got felt more like a gimmicky spoof of a Roman Polanski movie; Repulsion with more feathers and less wit. I mean, I did laugh at some of the performances (Winona Ryder is a hoot), but I'm not sure that's the effect Aronofsky was going for.
Part of the problem (for me) is that every character in the film is basically a caricature: "The sexually repressed waif"... "The domineering mother"... "The brilliant but demanding choreographer"... "the embittered, self-loathing has-been"...
Was I really supposed to take these characters seriously?
Don't get me wrong; I think Aronofsky is a talented guy. I just don't think Black Swan represents his best work.
This movie is getting really good reviews all over. Looks like the one time Hollywood hit the mark.
I didn't think I would enjoy but I liked it. I think Aronofsky both did a great job!
Yeah this sure isn't my cup of tea but once it's on dvd i may give it a try. i've been surprised before.
One of if not the most disturbing movie I have seen in the past 10 years that I went into expecting a chick flick. Walked out of the theater questioning my masculinity because it genuinely freaked me out. Fantastic film although I will never see it again.![]()
Don't wait for DVD, you'll never get another chance to see it on the big screen! It is definitely not a chic flick.
Just saw it. Fascinating, I liked it.
The weirdest part for me is the fact that my sister in law looks so much like Natalie.
Thus, the erm.. self-exploration portions were slightly awkward.![]()
