Score was rather boring and generic.
Not like you come out of there with an Avengers theme in your head,
which should have been the case.
    Agreed.

I can still hear, CA, Thor, and Iron Man scores in my head.

    Avengers isn't there.

Judging by early pics of the costume and concept art it looks like they did leave ear area open at first. Probably looked worse with the ears open. The whole Avenger helmet just looks too bulbous.

I think the WWII costume would've worked better with open ears - or even the helmet he grabbed for the first rescue mission.

Tom Hiddleston must be a cool dude!

He was great in "Midnight in Paris" too.

The real question is... If he really was alive, would Coulson actually let Fury ruin his near mint set!?
The funny thing was that they didn't look very mint to me. He did mention some wear on the card corners, but that wear was pretty major in my eyes. lol. But then again... 50+ year old cards have a little bit of leeway, I suppose.

I saw it in Joplin where the crowd was nice enough to laugh thru the Hulk/Loki scene where all the dialogue was totally obscured. Had I not known was being said I'd had no idea what was being said. But I will own it so it's ok. Probably the best Superhero movie so far.

In that scene after Hulk throws Loki around like a rag doll, Hulk says, " Puny God".

Does anyone else cringe when they hear Samuel J. speak now? All I hear is Mace Windu wooden dialog.
For the first time in a LONG time, I actually thought SJ did a good job and actually seemed more "Nick Fury" than "Sam Jackson." To me, he has been virtually worthless ever since Pulp Fiction because he has been that same character no matter the movie. I was VERY glad we didn't get the Snakes on a Plane Sam very much in this movie and he actually made an effort to be the character he was playing instead of simply doing his same old VERY tired shtick.

I saw the movie on a Tuesday afternoon at 1PM, so not many people in the theater... The few who were there laughed, but I still heard the line

Right there with ya, Art. I thought he did a much better job in this movie than any other he's done in a while

Well, we did get a little of the Pulp Fiction Jackson, which I was happy to see. I could not stand the Prequel Jackson.

I thought of Pulp Fiction immediately when I heard his line to the council.

    I have a question.

Maybe I missed something but -After the hulk falls off Shields ship the rest of the Avengers figure out where Loki will be planning his big attack.

After the avengers arrive in NY, Banner shows up on a motorcycle....
How did banner know where the avengers would be?...And how did Banner get there so quickly. Seems as though Banner landed somewhere hundreds of miles away.

    Really fast motorcycle?

I'm almost scared to say it in this thread but although I enjoyed the film I didn't think it was nearly as great as everyone's saying it is.

Ok, third time seeing this movie. Love it more each time. It finally clicked when Stark is in his tower and Coulson tries phoning. Stark says "You have reached the life decoy model of Tony Stark..." right there tells me Coulson is not truly dead....

If Tony's deterred missile destroyed the Chitauri control ship...why was Cap in a rush to close the portal?

I agree the Avengers was the BEST superhero movie I've ever seen..Def going for. 2nd time it was that awesome..

What I can't understand is why is Iron man #55 going gangbusters in the pricing online and Strange Tales #135 first S.H.I.E.L.D Nick Fury isnt ? Just bought my copy today for a great price with my Avengers #1 comic 1963.

comicstomorrow, and I'll be watching it again on the midnight screening next Thursday. THAT'S how amazing this movie is. By far the most entertaining movie I've seen in ages.[/QUOTE]
