Guys, c'mon. You're all killing me here. Loki's staff WAS an Easter egg. The reason it controlled whomever he touched with it, and why it was glowing during the unpresidented argument between the Avengers in the lab was because its an INFINITY GEM. That's why Loki smiled at Banner while he was walking by, which caused him to shake his head and rub his eyes. That's why he grabbed the staff as he was loosing control. The mind gem was taking grip and coaxing a reaction.*

Especially if Thanos is the MAIN baddy, it has to be the gem. He's all about the Infinity Gauntlet, and considering it was in Odin's trophy room in Thor... This all ties together nicely.*

I could sit here and nit pick small details myself, and I've even formed an opinion as to why things were the way they were, like Banner LOST control in the helicarrier, so it was a much more brutish, raging Hulk, while when he transformed in the streets it was a decision. Just a thought.*

I'm not up on the Marvel Mythos, but is there a character that Coulson could come back as? ( I don't think he's really, most sincerely dead ,either) I know Joss loves to kill favorite characters, but there might be an edict from Marvel that he can't be permanantly gone (one hopes).

Or they could do what they dead with the death of Captain America in the comics and have him frozen within space and time. Isn't that one of the infinity gem powers?

My understanding was that those glasses were only for the Ultimate Marvel Marathon that day. I got there over an hour early and all they had left was Hulk glasses and the stragglers got regular glasses.

looks like these glasses are going to be harder to get than originally thought. They are alreading hitting Ebay.
Average prices were roughly 20.00 for a single unopened pair around 50.00 for original packaging and a full set in original packaging goes just for under 100.00

DC took Marvel to court over that whole 'nega-bands body swap thing' and won. They said it was too much like Captain Marvel.

So that's why they killed him off. But I saw him on the Avengers cartoon last week. So he's back baby. [nobody really dies in sci-fi. Good luck for Coulson.]

That's not a Spider-Man reference, it's a reference to the fact that EVERY freaking superhero Stan Lee co-created is based out of New York.

And Stark did the same thing...rubbed his forehead (same as Banner did) after arguing with Captain America. Obvious they were being controlled. Heck Loki smiled when Ironman was fighting with Thor. He wanted to tear them apart and create chaos!

I want to add that it must be a complete fulfillment for Stan Lee to see so many of his characters in one epic film like this! I am glad he is doing well and can enjoy this. He deserves a lifetime achievement award!

Sorry I'm late to the party but....[FONT="Arial Black"]DAMN![/FONT].

The one-liner's came a mile a minute, and I liked how they were able to give everyone a purposeful role in the film.

Although Hulk really just stole the show with his out of nowhere actions.
I loved when he punched Thor after beating down that alien jet, and when he decided to toss Loki around like a rag doll. The look on Loki's face was priceless.

Read an interview where Clark said Whedon told him he'd make it out of Avengers okay. So one of them lied, or Coulson's death was faked.

Whedon always kills a likeable character. We called it before we even saw it. Coulson's a leaf on the wind.

She stood out amidst all those stars.

after thor's great landing, he walks over to his hammer and stretches out his hand and the hammer doesnt fly to his hand in that moment. its almost like he is hurt in some way, but a few scenes later, he is show flying off with it.

when loki tries to posess stark, why wasnt he able to?

Actually its not that, sorry if this is gonna be very nerdy but tonys chest piece is based upon the technology of the tesserect when tonys father was studying it, and the power of lokis staff is based upon the tesserect so the two cancel themselves out (much like in the film).
Lokis staff is a small amount of the tesserect not the infinity gems (when you see the infinity gauntlet iin thor it has all the stones and also when you see the gauntlet at the Sdcc), also it you notice the staff fires energy blasts much the same as the hydra weapons when they had the tesserect.

on a side note i personally think that thor takes the tesserct back to odin who then repairs the rainbow bridge (because the tesserect is a neverending energy source).
