    It is a fair bet the dress is long gone. Movie studios didn't save costumes like they do today; or costumes were repurposed for other productions.

    Doing a little research, in January of this year someone posted on the IMDB forums that she had a picture of her mother-in-law wearing the dress as a wedding dress.

    This sort of stuff from back then was just sold off in hordes. A friend of mine scored 3 crates of old hollywood wardrobe. He had a set of riding pants with Clark Gable hand written on the inside.
