Agreed, they have really taken the Screen-used Auctions to another level.

Very Nicely done!

Some beautiful pieces in this auction, being a Batman collector, there are some things I'd dearly love to add to my collection.

I just have a few questions. Since I'm in the uk and have to pay VAT, am I correct in thinking that the final price will have 45% added to it (20% buyers premium, 3% online fee, 2% hammer aggregate and 20% VAT)?

I'm a massive Batman fan and know these props and costumes inside and out having owned a fair amount myself and have also written articles and made friends with some crew that worked on the first two movies. Seeing a collection this large of Batman items in one place is an absolute joy. Will any of these be on display at Westfield and when?

The battle damaged '89 suit, the undersuit clearly no longer has the vinyl/pleather coating to the fabric as it was prone to delaminate from the material underneath, so that is to be expected, but why is it not white as it should be? Has it been repainted black by you guys? Nice to see the back 'skate' there though, very rare.

I'm also curious about your wording for the Batman Returns cowl, since I think some people might be confused by it. The cowl is a prototype cowl that was sculpted by Steve Wang, but it was not used on screen, beautiful though it is. Burton opted for the more sculptural Art Deco cowl we're all familiar with.

I'm incredibly envious of anyone that acquires these pieces, there are definitely things that I'll hopefully be going for, most notably Alicia's mask and the Joker copter (since I'm huuuuuge fan of B89).

I've been lucky enough to recently acquire a full screen used 89 costume, or I'd be all over the battle damaged one too!

Got to try and work my schedule now do I can make it on the day. Good luck everybody!

Stunning catalog… wonderful outing…. congrats on a massive amount of work getting this off the ground. I can't wait to see how everything does!

Wow.....when you write it like that...UK buyers are at a hell of a disadvantage. At least we don't pay the 20%.....but possible import fees

I would try and buy by phone to save yourself at least that 3%

Wow Tardis, if you are right its a lot of money...think about what other EU buyers have to add here as well ???? i already placed a quite huge bid prior to auction on my lot i try to get and havnt thought about that !!!!arrghhhh....ruined i guess LOL !!!
what items are on your wish list Tardis ???

I actually have gotten VERY selective and cheap in my old age. I don't find a lot of joy in paying too much for items....but then again to be honest I never have. The thrill for me is mostly uncovering the item. To be fair to propstore many of these items have been found by them already and are in the public domain.

IF I was going to create a list of things I liked, and wouldn't mind being given to me I would say along with my reasons:

Lot 12: American werewolf back (just an amazing fx designer/a nightmare inducing film)
Lot 39: Black Hole helmet (under rated movie from my youth)
Lot 136: Meryl Streep Thatcher blue dress (one of my only hopes to have class in my collection)
Lot 155: Roger moore ski jacket (Brilliant film/brilliant actor/brilliant sequence)
Lot 243: Princess Bride dress (Wonderful film introduced to late in life)
Lot 287: Shatner Trek IV....(Because its iconic, Shatner and a beautiful ensemble)'
Lot 291 TNG Picard Keyboard (I thought it was never going to show up)
Lot 348 Linda Hamilton T2 costume display (its a great display)

There....Im not expecting any Xmas presents though.....:)

I really wanted a drive suit from Pacific Rim...but I couldn't justify those prices. Im pretty sure even you are in the same boat.

Just emailed to propstore.Since I live in Europe as well they could confirm that 45 % will be added to the final price. That means i have no chance to win on the item I'm interested in.I'm very dissapointed.
