Thanks for the heads up. Now, if I don't win, who here will take my money to make one?
It's hard getting into the props, considering that the movie was such a let down.
This 'honest trailer' pretty much sums how I saw the movie:
Honest Trailers - Prometheus - YouTube
i think people that went in thinking it was an alien prequel are the ones that feel let down
I agree wholeheartedly. though this film was a "thinker," meaning that I was thinking about it for days, I came to the conclusion that if it had been called "Space Kill," or something having nothing to do with the Alien franchise, it would have been an OK movie with a GREAT sci-fi moment (the alien abortion).
Yeah it was such a bad movie that people who hate it still take the time to look at and comment on threads to do with it. If I disliked a movie that much I wouldn't even bother to read threads or even look in the direction of threads to do with the movie. Personally I loved the movie which is why I wanted to open this thread. What I didnt need was another ear bashing on how bad a movie It was. Nice pics of the props though.
Ben
It's such a bad movie but I love the design of it, the visuals are so beautiful, I had to own it on blu-ray.
The props were amazing, and the art of book shows some amazing things.
The film was weak, stuttered, and made in the name of self service just like III and IV
were, both of which also had great props and sculpt work, but the story stopped at ALIENS and the rest was just right up there with most of the cheesy gore/monster movies instead a a story that sucked you and made you a dedicated lover of the movies.
Or at least thats what I took from it.
But I enjoyed the propage~
Movie looked beautiful. Designs/props were great. I am really interested in the overall story 'arc', but alot of the specific actions of the characters frustrated me and, I felt, pandered to those wanting a typical cheesy sci-fi horror film. I've seen it several times already and am hoping for a #2. "Paradise"?
Thanks for posting these pics.![]()
