Just picked up the item above on EvilBay - Looked likely to be real production made so I took a chance - It seems well made, better than the average garage kit. It's definately made from a stunt friendly rubber or polyurethane. Seller was a B Lawton from PA. No COA, but would like to try to authenticate if possible. Anybody got some input?

its not painted. The fact its rubber is a good sign...not many people copy out of that material.

The seller should at least tell you where he got it and that may help you.

This was discussed on another board (if it's ebay # 251585270468) ; one of the guys who works in the industry made this comment:

"We made those here and it looks to be a raw unpainted casting. Probably not screen used."

While he can't be 100% sure without examining the piece itself (hence the words "looks to be"), I think this is good news for you.

Not sure who the guy on whatever prop board was, but, I can confirm all "screen used" rubber stunts were repainted a couple times. Non were ever all black unpainted. I also need to add the material its made from seems to be a different rubber than the originals were cast out of. However its my understanding two different shops worked on the same props from Enterprise. Ive no idea what the other shop used as far as materials. I am by no means a Trek expert but I know what I know first hand.

Cool find! FWIW, rubber replica versions of Trek props are seldom made. I don't think I've ever come across any. I'm sure they are out there, but they would NOT be common. Another good sign, I think.
