John Steed's umbrella from The Avengers

Hey.
I tried the search function but could not come up with anything. Do we have any Avengers (not the Marvel Avengers) fans here?

I wondered what kind of brand John Steeds brollys are. The are always the same with a bamboo handle.

I own an umbrella by a famous London maker, Swaine Adeney and Brigg....umbrellas by appointment of the Queen and the Prince of Wales.

I purchased the piece many years ago and have been very careful of it. I always pictured Ian Fleming would have had James Bond own one. I would also say this is something like Steed would have owned.

I just went through a disc of the '65 season on Netflix... the umbrella had a neat radio built into the handle in one of the episodes.

You keep the umbrella, I just want one of his 1930s Bentleys!

Too bad they don't have the umbrella with the sword. That's on my list. I'm still going to have a custom made somehow...Might have to try to pick up that prop however. I still like the film but I need to see more of the original show.

Hi, I used to own the largest collection of Avengers Tv/Movie memorabilia Worlwide. I sold it all off last year inc one of the giant wasps and many of the costumes and props. I still have the original screen seen swordstick that Steed fights Sir August with in the finale, along with Steeds steel Ministry security pass and a few other things. Sadly I lost all interest in The Avengers after collecting it for over 20 years. These things happen though I suppose.
