    May 21, 2012 - Hero Aspen Guard Rifle - JD MOVIE #1

    Hey
If you know me you will know my dream is to get a full Costume of an Eagle or Street Judge from the Judge Dredd movie, wether that be a Screen Used or a good replica, slowly slowly im building up the pieces bit by bit.
Ive just aquired a Screen Used Street Judges Holster which im pretty chuffed about, but i also managed to aquire this, A Hero Screen used Aspen Guard Rifle.
Im waiting on details from the previous owner as there are necessary details missing from the package but i have 100% assurance it is screen used.

The Gun as you would expect is showing signs of wear and tear, i think its done the rounds quite a bit, some of the fibre glass areas are in need of repairing and the electronics that are installed need to be looked at as at the moment they dont work...... if and when restored this would be an awsome piece, it looks stunning.

Its quite heavy as there is a Mix of Aluminium and Fibiregalss built around an inner metal structure.

Judge Dredd Movie items are very rare and seem to be almost impossible to come across so im pretty happy to have this However ..................................its big and im really struggling to know what to do with it !! its too big for my collection but we shall see how things go

As mentioned it needs some minor work to restore it to maximum awsomeness, but all the same its a pretty impressive piece

That thing's a beast, it looks like an easy to carry WWI machine gun.

Its actually quite awkward to hold mate, i nearly broke my nose trying to hold it and look down the scope at the same time.

Id heard that the Hero Aspen Rifle had an ejectable spent cattridge facility, but this seems static.

still trying to work out how the electrics work and where the battery is

Man it is beautiful as is. I wouldnt restore it. I would only do some light repairs....most noticeably the missing corner on the butt stock and possibly respray the grip base.

Screen used props get some of their value from being.....well screen used! Warts and all.

Your call, but this is in such great condition, the more you mess with it the less it has linage.

    Congrats!!

That's an awesome gun, I personaly wouldn't touch it... looks great.
I passed on one not long after the movie came out and still regret not getting it. Like you said don't see much from the film. My brother owns a couple of things from the film, Lawgiver, Unicard and ID Scanner

Here is a shot of a stunt version offered by Prop Store back in 2003 nowhere near as nice as the one you have, good score. They also had a helmet around the same time that would go well with your gun.
