I noticed an ebay listing today with "treasure" from the original Pirates of the Caribbean that has 4 coins pictured... 2 of the coins look exactly like the coins which were used in The Goonies & Hook. Does anyone happen to have any insight into this? Is this possibly a common mold that these coins are coming from? Or is it possible that Pirates used some Goonies stash? Thanks!

True, but if you look at the coins they are exactly the same... as in the same shape irregularity for age effect.
Hi, we can't see the dooblon in the movie Hook but in the rare map-traveling teaser of Hook also called "The prologue".

You can see some doublons on the map in first 30 sec.
I don't remember to saw the dooblon in the movie.
This is a general mold for gold coin. Now, some people bought one, they made a other mold and they sell the replica like a props.

Actually, there is a spot on the movie where these coins are visible... when Smee grabs some loot during the battle.
