There were a lot of pieces I had that reaction to. I would bid a certain amount and then be astonished at high they'd go. Like $25,500 for that armor hunghhhhhhhhhI'm still amazed the prices paid for the Ron Perlman pieces. Craziness.
Well you were almost right haha. $2500 for shipping for the organs. Talk about a heart attack! I am talking about alternatives now, but if it comes down to it I'll just take a few days off and make the drive to go get it. I'm dedicated. Not to burst any bubble as I believe if you like it and can afford it - go for it, but did you happen to ask Prop Store the shipping on that ahead of time?
I ask because I did and the shipping on one of those tables to NJ was $2000. Granted, it's completely across the country, but the shipping is going to be high no matter what due to the size and weight. That shipping crossed those pieces off my list sadly.
I drove down and pieced up my items. I had to rent a cargo van which was around $325 + $130 in gas.
I won a battery, storage locker, Kaiju tank, 3 costumes and some other small lots.

I had NO idea that stuff was that big.........
Now it makes the whole thing seem even sillier for most people to buy
I thought that tank was like 2 feet high. WRONG.

Not quite yet, but they are being super amazing with working out different methods to make it not hurt the wallet. I'm really not opposed to driving there if I have to and I live in Kansas. So were you able to get the table or are you still working out the plans? I hope you're able to get it without any major logistic problems.
I thought the tables were cool, but I just couldn't justify that shipping. If I lived closer, it would be a different story. However, since I'm on the other side of the country, I'd rather put the money towards the prop than the shipping (which I did).

I really can't blame you, I truly underestimated the size of this organ when I was bidding. They said the reason shipping is so much is because it weighs 900 lbs. How will I move this into my collection room? I'll need to hire body builders.
