California Museum's "Out of This World" exhibit pictures
This is an exhibit at the California Museum that runs until January 10th. I suppose this is the section for this. How much of this is screen-used is up for debate I'm sure. The second set of Indy's gear is downstairs in the George Lucas section of the museum.
Flash is not allowed so I did the best I could with my 1.4 lens wide-open. Three pages of pics so be sure to check them out. The pictures when viewed full-size are huge by the way. Fair warning! On to the pics; http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...rld%20exhibit/ |

That is the traveling exhibit that comes from the Paul Allen collection and the Seattle Sci-Fi Museum.

Re: California Museum's "Out of This World" exhibit pictures
It's at the California Museum in Sacramento. I was out in SF several times recently but never made it to Sacramento. The exhibit ends on Jan. 10.

What's up with the Star Wars patch on the back of the Stormtrooper helmet?
And is that the "$60,000 Profiles in History Headpiece" ? Brad |

Do folks think this is the original Luke graflex? Love to hear Gino's take on the grips.

Quote:
As far as the grips go, they do not match ANY of the original t-track used anywhere else in all three films so I would say no, the grips were not original and added on later. The grip profile is extremely specific and is very consistent from prop to prop throughout the OT. As far as the other SW items in this exhibit such as the obi-wan robe, luke pilot suit, and vader, that is not the obi wan robe and the only original piece of the vader display is the stunt helmet with the perspex cheeks/neck. The flightsuit appears to be real, but extremely doubtful that it was actually LUKE'S. There were a crapload of them made. Most likely just another random pilots uniform but that's not as interesting now is it. . Last edited by GINO; 01-10-2010 at 10:03 AM. |
