Aug 3, 2012 - Whatever happened to classic Spiderman? #1

I am over 40, so I love the Comic book Spiderman. Don't get me wrong, the Raimi costume is pretty darn cool, but what about those of us who want just a plain classic spandex Spiderman?

No urathane webbings, no puffy paint.... just Spiderman like he is in the comics?

Right now, your only option is Spandex Zentai

And I have seen a lot of mis-sewen Zenai costumes, not to mention horrible masks and eyes. Is this really the ONLY option?

Those wizards who are making the "Amazing" Costume right now, I think you'd make a small fortune from those of us who'd rather have the classic blue and red.

they.... who? I have not seen any of the creators say that they have those templates. I'd love a link, if anyone knows of one. I have scoured these boards, but "spiderman costume" is a huge pile to sort through.

Most makers just turn off the brick pattern and use a thick black webline in place of 3D printed webs or guides. Some will even turn off the muscle shading if you request it.

If the person has full control over their photoshop file, a comic-style suit built on the Raimi pattern isn't hard.

I have a comic style suit on the way - McFarlane comic style. I chose to keep the muscle shading though as I felt it looked more like the comic.

I have a comic style suit coming in the forseeable future, I for one would take an original comic style spidey over all else to me its timeless. Agreed that Brad Spidey4fun makes some of the best suits ever and hes a pretty cool guy.
