What should I make Bender out of?

I plan on making a Bender (Futurama, not Airbender) costume and need help in construction? Also, what would be the best material to make it out of?

Hi there, which other Bender builds that are on this forum do you like the look of?

Personally I would go with foamies.They're easy to cut and to bend and you can achieve a pretty realistic metal effect by sealing with PVA glue, painting the entire thing black and then spraying with a good metallic silver or gray spray paint.

There arent many complex bends or cuts for this costume so it should be ideal for that medium.

or anything that looks accurate. If its possible I want to keep the build simple as possible, by that I mean using stuff I could buy at Lowes or other stores.

Well that one is just camping mat foam (EVA foam), so if you can buy that at Lowes, then get yourself down there and get started

I would most likely make Bender with a few large, plastic trash cans. Just find some round ones that you could fit in/together and they'll be a great base.

if you wanna keep it simple, then keep it simple!
(my advice is plan, plan, plan.. then build! & start early!!)
you could make it out of cardboard & still turn out pretty well.
