Warhammer 40K Scout Marine- help!

Well guys, one of my prop goals has been reached today. I'm getting one of Thorssoli's Bolters. A long time I've wanted one. I've enjoyed 40K for years and years. I've two armies, Ultramarines and Orks. My son an Eldar army.

So, now with a gen-u-ine Bolter on the way, I must make an outfit to go with it.

Full on Power Armor just isn't going to happen. Not any time soon.

So, a Scout Marine it is. I've the minatures to look at, but I'm trying to find some good reference material to make the body armor. I did a search on Google, but mainly have more pics of the mini's. Are there any pictures, drawings of the Scout Marines?

Man, that would help to show as much detail as possible. Failing that, I'll try my best looking at the mins.

Then to decide which Chapter to make.

I don't think I'll make Ultramarines, too much blue in 1/1.
Thought about Dark Angels, cool colors.

And the Space Wolves really intrigue me too.The Norse imagery, that could be alot of fun!

I plan to make the Bolter in Black and Boltgun Metal, rather than a specific Chapter color. A bit more flexibility I think.

Any suggestions guys?

I have the 3D models of the body armor for the Scout Marine, I just have'nt started making the pep files yet.

Dark Angels would work great for your scout simply because they wear robes as well. A hooded robe will allow to cover a bit more of the armor lacking areas. Plus hunter green is always awsome.

Though a Spacewolves scout is also just as impressive. Go to your local leather store and see about getting some sheep hides/pelts that still have the wool on it Can use it as decor over the shoulder pauldrons/chest. Some fangs here and there and BAM

Great suggestion Blood Wolf on both Space Wolf and Dark Angel scouts- I like them both!

I haven't yet been able to find Scout armor pep, debating if I want to try the plastic garbage pails, converting into armor. Seen some nice stuff done, so maybe!

It's going slow. After seeing pics of some sweeet suits, got to thinking about doing a Space Marine instead of just the Scout. Trying to find some pep files to do so. Since I'm building a 40K Space Wolf army, the choice of which chapter was easy.
