Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build - COMPLETE/Photoshoot Done

Re: Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build

What are you making the wings out of? That's always the big question for me, and it seems to be a big part of determining how well the costume turns out.

Re: Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build

Hey there! I'm using specialized packing foam strips, and running LEDs through them for the glow.

Currently working on the harness and circuitry for it, and hopefully the complete project should be available for preview by the weekend. ^_^

Re: Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build

looks great guys, nice job in foam, what u plan on for the paint? just pva glue and paint?

Re: Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build

Yep. PVA and Acrylics. That's what we normally work with. ^_^

I think Azureblade's gonna be harder to do than the armor, to be honest. >_<;; We're working with a new clear PVU material for the blade for that.

I can't wait to see! I love the designs of the angels in D3 and I really want to see someone do them!

Re: Tyrael (Diablo III) Scratch Build

Here's a look at the costume test for the outfit. ^^;; Quality's not very good because it's shot on iPhone, and there are still a few minor kinks I need to work out. ^^;;
