Starting on my Tron legacy daft punk thomas helmet .... will make it as in the movie ,with the silver colour not chrome and the blue leds

but furst some pep :)
 
Then some resin (epoxy) ans some fiberglass. I stay away from the polyester products ...just hate it and the toxic smell

Epoxy resin is all over better i think , and when it cures it will not become sticky that in some case polyester resin often become
 
Fast build hehe ...

then some epoxy filler ( odourless ) and exelent to work with

and the 3 rounds off touch up .... and off course hours of sanding

When I padded my Master Chief helmet and armor,
I just went to my local Jo Ann Fabrics store.
They sell many different kinds, and thicknesses of foam.
Nice thing too is, like fabric, you get it cut measured to
your desire. Hope that helps buddy.
 
Finally attached all LED , and all the electronics . Tried first with some rgb leds ...but that didnt work so then the original colour Blue

also soldered in a potmeter so i can adjust the brightness
