Transformers?

Aside from Optimus, Bumblebee and the occasional Megatron, do the other transformers get much play? I think I actually saw a Shockwave and Soundwave reference, but there are so many awesome transformer designs -- especially in the recent "Prime" CG series -- I wonder if anyone's building anything that isn't in the big three of Transformerdom.

Quovadis0920 has a thread on the junkyard with other Transformer that he and his team have built. I was going to put the link here but can't find it now.
