Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Very cool CLM..
You know, I think that look would've been better for Depp as Willy Wonka instead of the weird black bob-cut.. ![]() (and I want one of those thread bandolier thingies!!! awesome! ) |

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Took probably a hundred pictures of this costume and others today. Will try to upload as soon as possible. Weed out the blurry ones.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, wanted to say, Hatter's sword is the spitting image of Navarre's sword from "Ladyhawke." Last edited by nickytea; 07-25-2009 at 12:08 AM. |

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Did anyone by chance get pictures of Alice? Specifically does anyone know what the pendant is?

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Well it appears 5 costumes and 40 props were on display at Comic-Con 2009. The costumes and props are schedule to start a display tour. Need to find the schedule!!!
http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hi...the-globe.aspx I have an excellent lead on the pants. Need to get some pics to make sure. Will be posting some updates this weekend.

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
I guess the Mad Hatter wasn't one of the costumes on display at SDCC? I think I'm getting more and more into this potential project.....I was just thinking about it yesterday afternoon actualy.

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
actually, I think it was. I've seen photos on flickr. unfortunately, the exhibit had 2 tiny spotlights focused on the hat, couple with the flashes people were using amd the glass cases, most details are lost.

That is a Tim Burton collection but it is not the Alice In Wonderland Tour.
MoMa looks like it has some cool things displayed. |

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
As promised here are the pants I found. Very Victorian with buttons for suspenders. Now all that needs to be done is convert them into high waters, add the embroidered flower to the front right leg, and the various lacy doilie thingies to the side of the left leg!

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Those look similar to some of the trousers off of http://www.gentlemansemporium.com. Though the ones pictured are not listed (or I can't find them).

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
Trying to find that leather pattern or even tooling the pattern into leather would cause anyone to go "mad" do to the "hat!"
![]() I think I am going to stick with a "close enough" patten. |

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
CJS, I think they need to be more of a blue color. Looking at the screencaps they look more like a shade of navy. Those pants you posted actualy look ALOT like a pair of pants I used for my Joker. Which oddly enough, were cut off to short, and have a high water look.

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
that hat is going to really tough. At closer inspection it may actually be fake leather or vinyl. It almost looks like they used acid to burn the design in or it might have been lazer cut. Really amazing work, but very hard to exact copy!

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes
are his shoes a similar style to the ones the Joker wore in TDK, but in a boot cut?
