    Aug 16, 2012 - Steampunk Joker #1

OK I feel kind of lame that I didn't post this during the build process but I'm going to show as much of the process as I can.

I'm starting backwards on this since I don't have time to list it all today.

    The mask was Molded Leather.

My friend Ryan Sculpted the Joker face for my BANG flint lock gun. I molded the Harley from the 1:6 scale Harley doll.

Then I cut her face off and replaced it with a skull. The Joker is crazy and both loves and hates that woman.

OK Ill post more up tomorrow.

My favorite is the Gun that almost no one will see. This is my Bang gun. I found a Nerf Jack Sparrow gun and a thrift store. It was smoked clear plastic when I started and shoots Nerf darts.

I made it so it shoot a dart that unrolls a BANG banner.

My main focus was to make it Joker colors but still look old. I hand dremeled deap wood great in the plastic first. Then the paint theme was based on wood a copper. The wood being Purpleheart. The older Purpleheart gets the more purple it becomes. then I need green so I did a Patina Copper.

Now back in the 17 and 1800s they didn't have serial numbers on guns so the owner would have a registered sculpted design added to the bunt of the handle. I had a friend who is on here as well do an amazing sculpted over the original of the Jokers face Steampunk style.

Looking absolutely spectacular Mike! Still such a pleasure to see this in person...and I hope to join you soon as steampunk Harley Quinn (hopefully for WWWC!). Now, am I mistaken or have you added some new touched to the costume since this last photo was taken? Something looks different, but I'm not sure what...
