Savage Opress - Star Wars: The Clone Wars [W.I.P.]

So this is my first W.I.P. in here. I'll be posting stuff out of order, for sure.

First off, this is what i'm making.. Savage Opress, brother of Darth Maul, from the Clone Wars cartoon.

My first step was to acquire horns. I hadn't seen any horns that matched, so I contacted a friend of mine who sculpts and showed him what I was looking to do.




This is how they look attached to a bald cap with full face paint. This is the first time I'm doing anything with face paint and my buddy that did the face paint is pretty new to this character. Not bad for a first attempt. It also doesn't help that my face and head aren't shaped the same as Savage, but I'm working on another idea to make a raised foam latex bald cap so i have the right shape dome for the character.



I'll be working on the armor next. I'll start taking better progress shots as I wasn't intending on making a W.I.P. originally, but thought it might be fun.

woah.. sorry the pics are so big. i should have looked at that before i posted.

also, when I do this next (before i make the foam latex dome), i'll be shaving my head, so its not all smoooooth then BAM.. face texture. haha
