I'm an Air Force brat, so I'm from EVERYWHERE :D. FYI you're not missing anything, we're supposed to get 16 inches of snow on Monday. Yeah, I said 16 INCHES. :darnkids

That looks sweet! Even in the pictures, the silver looks great against the black. Can't believe how close you are to being done :popcorn

thank man! having pep files sure helps! lol! I actually have been tied up all this week, all i've managed to do is paint the neck black and attach the lower forearm to the upper forearm with a stretchy material so I can move my wrist around. I'm also helping my girl friend with a morrigan costume so juggling 2 at the same time is taking some time. Hopefully I can get the shoes done in the next couple days thou...

Thanks for all the ideas, I've never tried the buff thing, usually just do spray and then details with a brush...I seal the foam with the mod podge. If you look at the pic with where the torso/neck area is white, that is the mod podge doing its work =) I've tried plasti dip before but don't really like how it comes out.

can you tell me what size did you take for robocop helmet?

I increased the size, I used the height of 300mm. But I am using 1/2" foam so it might be a little different depending on what your using and the size of your head. Plus I ended up heat forming the dome so that probably changed the height a bit, not sure. I know laellee started one in paper and his size was way smaller than what I used.

I know right. My place is already overloaded with my 'toys'.
Great work on the suit!

Hello to all guys, congratulations for the wonderful work you are doing, but I want to start my costume, but I need to ask you something.
I saw that the parts to be printed are very large, how do I print them properly? and to merge them?
Hello and thank you!

I just printed as is, cut the pieces in separate pages. Tape them together after you cut them and that's it. Just put the large piece on foam and cut the foam.

Unfortunately I've been sick and busy so progress has been slow. But I did figure out my version of shoes and leg pistons. The shoes I just kinda eyeballed. The bottom hinge I made with a 3/4" pvc tee over a 1/2" piece of pvc pipe. I used a piece of poplar round bar for the piston. The top hinge was made with a type of pvc tee, a 1/2" pipe and a hinge. I attached the hinge by cutting a rectangular hole in the back of the calf and gluying a piece of mdf wood in there with the hinge screwed in to the mdf wood. I Hope to paint them soon, but its super cold at the moment and raining! :facepalm

This one of the suits I have wanted to build too. You are doing a great job. This thread also showed me laellee's thread, now I'm watching both. Keep up the great work.

Good work! And thanks for the advice!
I need chiedert something else.
What did you use as a template for the eyes?
What kind of paint did you use?
You have the file for your feet?
Thank you very much!

Thanks man, I'm almost done with it. I don't think Ill have enough time to make gloves from scratch so black rubber ones will do. I'll try and get the suit on tmrw and put up some pictures

I just traced paper in the helmet to make the template for the eyes. its thin plexi glass that I cut on my scroll saw then heated in to shape and glued in place. Paint, just spray cans. I haven't had a chance to do any brush or black wash type stuff yet. The feet I kind of eyeballed, so i don't have a file I just cut it out on paper then traced it onto foam...
