Hey guy's I couldnt help myself in entering the contest this year. I have been researching and working on this costume ever since the first pictures of Bane have been released. I have been costuming for about 6 years now and pretty much wont be stopping anytime soon. I have been a member of the RPF since 2010 But a lurker for far longer than that. I have little experience building things and ALOT of experience doing research, I pride myself on being able to spot things. My first costume ever was Darth Maul and I did 3 months of research before I acquired any costume part for it. I absolutely cherish the RPF as I am on it on a daily basis reading and learning from some of the greatest costumers and Prop Builders in the world...YOU GUYS RULE!!
Enough about me back to the costume, I have done a ton of research on the particular items of Bane's Wardrobe and pretty much have tried to replicate them with the utmost desire for Screen Accuracy!
All of the research material is in my original WIP thread BUT here is a brief synopsy. Most of the items including the Mask, Vest and Wrist Guard were researched and custom made for the costume. The pants Bane wears are Crye Precision Gen 1 which are impossible to find, so I found a replica online and went with those. The boots are worked off a Base Packer Style boot with custom leather straps added to make them more accurate. All of the weathering on the enitre costume was done by me and my faithful Airbrush.
I will stop boring you with words and show you pictures of my costume as it is now! I will post my authentication Photo when I get home from work today! (Just another excuse to put on the mask, cause nobody cared who I was until then)
