Wasn't sure if this was the appropriate group to ask a costume component shopping question, but thought I'd take a shot anyway. Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap green speedo or boyshort swimsuit in the city (NYC), a la Namor, for a quick, last-minute Mermaid Parade costume? Oddly, or perhaps not so oddly on these boards
, I pretty much have all the other accessories lying around.

Ended up finding something at a Dollar Deals bargain store on Broadway in glorious Astoria. $1.99 for ladies' workout bike short kinda things, which I just tucked up and around an existing boyshort bathing suit I had.
Sharpied on "scales," then added on Spock ears, styrofoam wings hot glued to cut up hosiery socks, a quickly stapled, taped and spray painted trident, and a belt and sash from my Captain Marvel costume, and voila:
Total time, including running around trying to find the shorts, 2 1/2 hours. Made it to the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island just in time
