Are they particularly hard to do? As in, Assemble?

Some are harder than others. Try and start with something easy. It takes more patience than anything.

Hm. Easy like what? Cause I was thinking of doing either War Machine or Iron Man helmets.

I'd suggest starting with a gauntlet or bicep to be honest. Just to get the feel of it. I mean don't get me wrong, a lot of people start with helmets (including me) and they turn out great. It basically depends on what you feel comfortable with, is all.

I don't have Pep, but might download the trial and use it up. I don't have any experience in Pep, so any files you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, just do a search for .pdo files (along with what you're looking for) on google and you'll be surprised with what you find.

As for the pep viewer trial, if you don't register it, I know it has its limitations. Not sure what they are though as mine is registered.

    try doing guyver. nyahaha! joke.

it's hard. and you really have to be patient with it. it may look easy because it's just like putting a puzzle together but if it has so many parts, it's like you want to crumple the whole thing. hahaha.

try one and test yourself with it.

Hard isnt the word I would use, its just time consuming. Pep consumes time like decepticons consume sand.
