I have tons of references for the short forest version of the costume...is that the one you are going to do, or any other version ,such as the armour?![]()
yes the short version is the one I'm going to do. Here is two rough sketches of the outfit that I drew. what references do you have?
I have tons of HQ stills, as well as some HQ/MQ pictures of the dress while being exhibited in L.A. with several upcloses of the details. I'm also working on a 1/6 scale version of this dress, so I've already studied in detail all the dress, seams, embroidery,etc...so feel free to ask me any doubts about it! I've also listened to several interviews with the costume designer, in which she talks about the details and materials used for the dress!

If you link on the images, they will appear bigger. Most of these references I got them by ensembling bit and pieces from some featurettes focused on the movie costumes!
I have several more...but I'm pretty busy, so I can't upload them! If you want to, you can e-mail me to danielfoez@yahoo.es, and I'll send you all the references I have for you to post them here![]()

You're welcome! BTW, the creator of the dress said the pants and boots are greyish brown leather, the dress is blue (although it may seem grey sin some pics) and the outer dress/tunic is green suede with red and gold bits, although it looks like brown in several images...In my 1/6 scale version, I'm choosing a greenish brown and a greyish blue, instead of one or another, but that's just my version!![]()
ive already done the underdress in a white fabric. i found that if you practice with off cut of fabric you can get the pattern right. also it is alot cheaper.
Oh! You should post some pics of it, as well as of the process! It would be interesting and useful for others who might want to do this as well!and don't forget to weather the bottom of the skirt with dirt and so!

Does anyone have any decent pictures of her hairstyles? In particular the one she has while wearing the armour.
Oh fantastic! I plan to make this one to sell for the Halloween season, I figure it will be pretty popular. Thanks so much for the exhibit photos, that will take alot of the guess work out of the process.
Just another thing, do you by chance have any photos of Ravenna's costumes from this film? I'm thinking I might want to try one of hers too.
There are several tutorials of that one on youtube, but all of them are wrong...she wears 5 tiny braids, the higher 3 are all tied together in a high ponytail, and then, the two ones left are tied with the ponytail in a second leather band, a little lower...I have a few references from the set; if you're interested, e-mail me to the e-mail I've written in a post above![]()
I found a pillow at a thrift store today for $15 that is trimmed with the green sheen feathers for Ravenna's all feather cloak. I figure I can make a cloak and trim it with the feathers.
As far as the Snow White escape costume, most of those decorative stitches on the leather are basic decorative stitches that can be found on most sewing machines. I'm going to try and get a stitch sample made up to compare.
Hi I did get your email. It is very useful as it shows some of the detail on the dress. Sorry i have not posted sooner but i was very busy. The underdress is finished and i am a fair way into the over dress. I'll try to find time to post some images of the making of.
