This is a follow up thread from my Batman costume. This is for my Stormtrooper costume when I was 10 in 1979. My mom made this costume by sewing poster board to vinyl giving it that plastic look. Pretty awesome for its day. The helmet is the first Don Post trooper helmet with the GREEN lenses which I still have today.
You destroyed the guy in the pirate costume.

I'm sure Halloween that year was the best! For 1979 that is spot on consdering that "A New Hope" was probably still playing in some theaters.

That looks fantastic! I made some stormtrooper armor back in 1984 when I was 14. All I had was white poster board, the Don Post helmet and BROWN shipping tape to hold it together. So, I had white armor with brown patches all over to hold it together. Oh, and some red and black checkered Vans for shoes. Yikes.
That's better than some adult attempts I've seen lol.
Wow!! How'd she do that without a thousand hi def ref pix, a CNC machine, and a whole arsenal of our new fangled resins, plastics and adhesives of all kinds!!! Because she's SUPER MOM!!! FTW!
