    Jun 16, 2012 - My first Chewie Build #1
    Hey all,
    I realized I've been spending all my time on Rebel Legion and neglecting the RPf. So I decided to start a thread here of my work-in-progress Chewie suit.

    I only have a couple pictures at the moment, but I wanted to share anyway. The guys on the Legion site have been fantastic with feedback and I've got a couple things to fix (the snarl mech and darkening the lips and teeth a bit to name a few) I'll have more photos of the suit (which is mid-latch hook) and the feet when I get back to school in August, but in the mean time, I'm open to suggestions

    Bowcaster that fires Nerf darts (because it seemed like a good idea at the time)

    Your pictures aren't showing up in the thread (for me at least). They work if you right click and open in a new tab though.

    Looking forward to some more progress pictures!

    Lips have been darkened and hair punching is moving along. I will be doing some intensive thinning and styling once all the hair is on the mask and the teeth will be going a little more yellow with some added "tartar" for realism.



    I'm also re-doing the underskull in a different material (it doesn't fit my face well enough and I have decided that fiberglass isn't the way to go. I'll be using a light-weight plastic compound from smooth-on)
    More photos to come later this week when hair punching has been completed

    Chewie has all his hair! He's getting a trim sometime in the next week (depending on my work schedule) Hair will be considerably thinner/sleeker an the grey on the top of his head will show through a bit more

    Oh I haven't finished latch hooking yet. I started the mask as a final project in my Masks and Jewelry class for grad school Figured why not kill two birds with one stone. The shirt is nearly all hooked, but the pants I haven't started and I still need to fiberglass the feet. I have quite a ways to go, haha. I'd love to see your build!

    Preliminary styling: Done. These will be the last photos before I finish the mask I still need to fix the teeth, so the underskull is not yet attached.
