Hello everybody, after 6 years of searching for accurate fabrics and information, and after to access to an original screen worn suit measures, I finally make my first Chris Reeve Superman the movie replica. Thanks to the experience that Action Costumes have making the best Suits in the market, now this dream project become a reality.

One day in Spain I find a very good red and yellow lycra, so the only thing that I need was the blue one, but the that one was the most hard to find, so finally I make a prototype with a turquoise lycra, I make the first costume, was very nice but not perfect, the only perfect thing was the cape.
One day I get the opportunity to access to a real superman screen worn suit, and get all the measures, real shields design and proportions, boots, cape measures etc.
Sometime later I was trying to make the second suit, and I meet the people of Action Costumes ( hear of them before) and they ask me if I like to work with them, after a few time to talk and agree of what we can do together, I start to work in a Christopher Reeve bust and the costume, the best of the things was that they have the Blue Fabric accurate color that I was looking for, so after some time and having a professional movie designer and action costumes resources and my info and good eye. The big problem is and was, that make the S shield of the Chest is VERY VERY VERY hads to make it rigth, we make 7 shields before to make it rigth, but now, I am happy to say that we make the best Chris Reeve Superman movie replica ever made !

Sebastian - thank you for the information. That's quite a story! The blue is very difficult to find, that's always seems to be the hardest part. Also, finding the right texture. I've seen many replica suits, and have also had a chance to closely study an original (even though I wasn't able to take measurements). This one looks so spot on! It's a beautiful suit, great work to all involved!
This is probably going to be a silly thing to focus on, but that belt is AMAZING. How does it affix? This whole costume is so spot-on, congrats!
