    thanks. Some interesting stuff, but I'm wondering more about a good close up of the diamond pattern and the fabric. (velvet I would imagine)

    I believe I have that same material on a kimono I made 25 years ago:



    It was a shiny gold print on cotton:



    Oh yes, it was very shiny when new. I got it at Hancock Fabrics back in 1988 or earlier...
