Mar 16, 2010 - Looking for fabric id and sewing assitance! GB related. #1

    Hi costumers,
Not a big poster in this part of the forum, but that will be changing soon.

I'm about to start offering an upper end Ghostbusters flightsuitand gear, but am unsure about a few things. Not what goes into it mind you, but how to build them. I've done a few searches here and there, but my Goggle-fu has failed me.

I'll be using a Tru-Spec as the base, and will have thigh pockets added to them, with the matching brass zippers.

While most will say, just get Nomex, or go to Flightsuits.com, niether of those are options at this point (nomex sucks, and flightsuits.com, now gibson-barnes.com, has ceased using brass zippers on there more 'affordable' suit, grrrr)

So, as I gear things up on my end, I'm looking for someone to help me i.d. the fabric on a Tru-Spec, get a few yards, and then sew up a bulk order (maybe 10-20 at least) of thigh pockets.

The one thing I DO have, is Mil-spec examples of the pockets, and an example of a Tru-Spec suit.

I'm looking forawrd to getting these done, as the market for comletely accurate GB gear is very, very lean.

    Thanks in advance!!

Mods, if this should be in the JY, **shrugs** feel free to move! Thanks!
