Jun 24, 2012 - Looking for Dye Sub Patterns - Who can make me one? #1

I decided to make my Deadpool costume from a Dye Sub pattern. I have no experience with Dye Sublimating, and I'm new to the boards.

There seems to be a lot of folks that make their own patterns; but who do you recommend? Do you have photos of their previous work?

I want it to come out accurate to the images, accurate colors, easy to sew (sewing pattern lines drawn on it preferribly), a snug fit all around with no loose fabric, and good muscle shading.

I have basic sewing skills, including sewing zippers, velcro, buttons, etc.

Is Fabrics on Demand a good company for printing costumes?

    Thanks!

how much are you willing to spend? also, this belongs in the junkyard, and youre not allowed to post there as a new member, because you need a certain amount of posts.

I'd like the total cost to be under $300 for the suit & mask, including printing & sewing. I prefer it be under $200 though. I can sew it myself as long as there are patterned lines to match up.

Is Fabric On Demand a good place to have them printed? If not, who do you recommend?

you would be really lucky if you would get that done for that amount of money

printing is realisticly cost somewhere between 100 and 200 bucks, and then you have to add the workload that the pattern designer has to put in to that.

you can try sonjou, he starts out with the basic muscle pattern for 15 bucks + the worktime he puts in, which will be according to the detail you want to have. if you want a highly detailed suit, thats at least 2 days of work, calculate it yourself.

Thanks, I'm in the midst of talking to Sonjou about his work.

So is Fabric on Demand a good printing company? If not, who is?
