The gloves are from here:

I believe they are modified with Anakin gauntlet extensions and mobile phone pouches, then painted green.

We completed another two days of filming last weekend. We didn't have time to take any official pictures, but some of the cast managed to take some snapshots.

We only have two full sets of leathers which are measured for the actors playing Judge Minty and Judge Dredd, so we had to peg them for everyone else.

Wow, awesome stuff Minty. Much better than any of the costumes in the Stallone Dredd movie.

I've always wanted to do a comic Dredd but have no idea where to go or start. Hopefully we'll get to see a WIP of how you put these costumes together.

Dan (CustomCreations) has done superb job creating all the props and costumes.

We've only got two full costumes and the extras loved being Judges, even if the leathers did start to get rather ripe, during the course of the day.

What type of Boots did you guys use? Did you modify them like you did with the gloves?

The boots are Wulfsport motor cross boots.

Apart from being painted green, we've also added Dredd type toe ends and a shin plate to cover any Wulfsport branding.

They're meant for riding rather than walking. A few guys have worn them for promo without any trouble. But for more action based stuff on rough terrain we're going to chop them up. The idea being to use the top part almost as a calf brace over some more comfortable boots. A bit like Star Wars Stormtrooper boots.

Thanks for the help with the boots Judge Minty! The Leather suits look like their one piece, were these custom made? What color of green did you guys use for the gloves? The green Im using doesn't look right. Painting leather isn't easy, my gloves never seem to dry...they stay sticky and seem to crack where it did dry. I know I'm not doing something right. What process did you guys use to paint your gloves and boots? I cant wait to see your movie!

I'll ask Dan about the make of paint. We've created the colours to look correct after they've been colour graded. In very bright light they can look quite vivid, but in dull light or after grading they look spot on. A bit like the elusive Jango flight suit colour.

The paint on the boots and gloves does start to come off, but it just looks like realistic weathering.

The leathers are bespoke two piece suits, which as well as being accurate to many (but not all) comic artists, allows a bit of flexibility with the different sizes of the actors wearing them.

They are high waisted and held up by braces, so that they always sit underneath the jacket. The belt is attached to the jacket.
